14th April, Thursday
Just to be difficult Miles gets to Barcelona ahead of the rest of us and checks in to the Portal de L'Angel apartment. To overcome this he loads that apartment up with beer. Well done Miles.
The rest of the gang arrive and we settle in to a game of poker. Despite explanations of the rules at each hand, the evening still taxes the brain power. Mick manages to destroy the furniture.

15th April, Friday
We meet up with Dave from Barcelona Adventure to be picked up to go to pitch and putt. Due to a cock-up on the transport, the mini-bus finally arrives an hour later. After a journey that nearly takes Ray over the edge of Nausea we arrive at the Portal del Roc, and the daft bus driver can't fit his minibus through the gateway.
The teams for golf were;
Ray, Martin, Miles.
Steve, Tim, Markus.
Mick, Tony, Geoff.
Steve's team won overall, and it was either Markus or Miles that won the individual competition. In any event Ray walked off with the Barcelona FC shirt prize since he had turned the greenest on the way there.

The daft bus driver brings us back the worst possible way through rush hour, but we eventually arrive back and head out to dinner in La Fonda del Port Olympic in (strangely enough) Port Olympic. Food, alcohol, nightlife.

16th April, Saturday
3:45pm was a good time to set for the pickup for the go-karting, since it takes the majority of us until then to feel up to it. And even then Ray is not sure until the second lap.

17th April, Sunday
14:30 is Markus' flight back to blighty. Good riddance to the wuss I say.
The rest of us go on an open top bus tour of Barcelona. It was lovely. Tim catches Japanese tourist syndrome and goes critical with the photo taking. If you can take it, see here.
21:00 is Barcelona FC football match. Much theatrics and a woeful lack of challenge from Getafe.See here
